Job summary

Off The Hook, Southeast Louisiana's Cajun quick-service concept, seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to upkeep refrigeration, HVAC systems, and all critical assets across multiple locations. The role focuses on walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop HVACs, and related equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong refrigeration/HVAC experience, can perform preventive maintenance, and handles general facility

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and building schematics.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, on ladders, and on rooftops.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license with a clean MVR.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair walk-in coolers and freezers; ensure food safety temperature compliance.
• Maintain rooftop HVAC units, split systems, exhaust fans, and makeup air units; perform filter changes and coil cleaning.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance for refrigeration and HVAC systems across locations.
• Diagnose and repair commercial cooking equipment (fryers, grills, ovens, etc.).
• Address plumbing issues and coordinate with licensed plumbers for major repairs.
