Job summary

New Trend Foods LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to supervise daily operations and support profitability. You will manage scheduling, cash handling, and customer service with a focus on cost control.

The candidate should have supervisory experience, strong leadership, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Toast Software experience is a plus and payroll duties may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a fine-dine restaurant.
• Toast Software is a plus
• Intermediate accounting and arithmetic skills.
• Strong leadership skills with an affinity for capacity development.
• Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the restaurant.
• Appointing, inducting, and mentoring new staff members.
• Scheduling shifts and assigning tables to wait staff.
• Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner.
• Conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner.
• Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to health and safety regulations.
• Purchasing new ingredients, kitchen utensils, and equipment as stock is damaged or depleted.
• Sourcing better deals on resources and equipment to replace or replenish.
• Recording all income and expenses and balancing cash registers.
• Other duties as assigned.
