Job summary

Mater Dei Restaurant Group seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading daily operations, developing the management and crew teams, and achieving the restaurant’s operational and financial goals.

This leadership role will oversee staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, guest service, food safety, cleanliness, sales, labor, and cost controls, coaching staff and developing future leaders while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience leading restaurant teams preferred.
• Ability to coach employees and set clear expectations.
• Flexible schedule and long-hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily operations and leadership.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, guest service, and cost controls.
• Coach staff, set expectations, and develop future leaders.
• May participate in hiring, coaching and discipline with GM/Owner.
• Capable of assuming full responsibility when the GM is unavailable.
