Job summary

Burger King in Gonzales, LA is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to lead daily restaurant operations and drive profitability. You will oversee inventory, scheduling, and guest service, while coaching a team of shift coordinators and hourly staff to meet brand standards.

The AGM will support the Restaurant General Manager, manage cash controls, and ensure maintenance and safety practices are followed, aiming for exceptional guest experiences and strong financial results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of college preferred.
• 1–2 years of quick-service restaurant experience; management experience preferred.
• Some understanding of P&L interpretation and profitability.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory costs and conduct regular inventory inspections.
• Place and receive inventory truck orders.
• Maintain assets and ensure preventative maintenance; interact with vendors as required.
• Ensure cash controls and security procedures (e.g., safe counting, cash drawers).
• Motivate and coach team to exceed guest expectations with fast, friendly service.
• Direct restaurant operations toward efficient product prep and prompt service within speed-of-service guidelines.
• Perform the duties of Hourly Shift Coordinator when necessary.
