Job summary

Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead daily dining room operations. You will monitor service levels, manage staffing, control labor costs, and ensure guest satisfaction while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will conduct pre-shift meetings, train staff on service steps, and collaborate with the management team to meet financial and quality goals. Strong English communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of high-volume restaurant supervisory experience.
• English communication in both spoken and written forms.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
• College degree preferred.
• Mandatory testing on restaurant menu knowledge will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Constantly monitor service levels on the dining room floor and adjust staffing as needed.
• Maintain Food Line Check to ensure ticket times meet standards.
• Complete paperwork, daily reports and financial analysis for the restaurant.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by approaching every table and meeting dining expectations.
• Order products and supplies for the restaurant.
• Complete dinner reservations for guests.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and staff training sessions.
• Manage and lead staff including hiring, scheduling, counseling and commendations.
• Train employees on steps of service and hold them accountable to standards.
• Ensure daily operational tasks are performed and completed.
• Ensure areas of the restaurant are maintained for cleanliness.
• Practice sanitation methods to ensure food safety.
• Communicate professionally via e-mail and follow guidelines.
• Provide necessary tools to staff.
• Maintain adequate staffing and control labor costs.
• Follow department and company policies.
• Assist Manager in achieving service, financial and HR goals.
• Perform all duties necessary for department success.
