Job summary

Cleveland Metroparks is seeking an Event Lead to coordinate and execute events at Merwin’s, Emerald Necklace, and Sailing Center from start to finish. You will manage logistics, assist with setup and teardown, track equipment, and handle POS transactions to ensure a smooth, engaging guest experience while maintaining a positive public image.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple events, and a commitment to safety and community service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in hospitality management or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in special event management and hospitality.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in Ohio.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines and work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and executes events for assigned areas; coordinates all aspects of event execution, often several events per day.
• Provide assistance with set up and tear down before, during and after events.
• Track and complete inventory of event equipment weekly.
• Assist with closing facility as needed.
• Complete transactions on Triple Seat and/or POS.
• Assist with cleaning needs pertaining to event preparation.
• Keep supervisor informed of key issues or concerns.
• Maintain a safe work environment and respond to hazards promptly.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
