Job summary

Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for the restaurant to lead staff, manage daily operations and ensure guest satisfaction. You will monitor service levels, oversee reservations, and supervise pre-shift meetings while maintaining strong financial and safety standards.

Candidates should have 2+ years of supervisory experience in night clubs or high-volume restaurants, plus solid computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook/Access).

Qualifications

• Two years prior night club Assistant Manager or Supervisory experience preferred.
• Two years prior high-volume restaurant Assistant Manager or Supervisory experience required.
• Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms.
• Must possess basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
• College degree preferred.
• Mandatory testing on restaurant menu knowledge (Information will be provided).

Responsibilities

• Constantly monitor service levels on the dining room floor and adjust staffing as needed.
• Maintain Food Line Check to constantly ensure ticket times meet property established standards.
• Complete paperwork, daily reports and all other necessary financial analysis for the restaurant.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by approaching every table and making sure the guest dining expectations have been achieved.
• Order products and supplies for the restaurant.
• Complete dinner reservations for guests.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and regular staff training meetings.
• Manage and lead staff including hiring, scheduling, employee counseling and commendations.
• Train all employees on steps of service, sequence of service and hold them accountable to the standards.
• Ensure daily operational tasks are performed and completed.
• Ensure equipment is in working order.
• Ensure areas of the restaurant are constantly maintained for cleanliness.
• Practice necessary sanitation methods to ensure food safety standards are followed.
• Communicate via e-mail in a professional manner and follow computer use guidelines.
• Ensure necessary tools are provided to staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels maintained and control budgeted labor costs.
• Ensure departmental and company policies are followed.
• Assist Manager in achieving service, financial and human resource goals set forth by the property executives.
• Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department..
