Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores is seeking an experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to lead staff, uphold safety and quality, and drive sales through efficient operations. You will manage scheduling, oversee food preparation, control inventory, and collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on reporting and talent development to deliver exceptional customer service across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• 1+ years managing operations with annual sales >$1M.
• 1+ years deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 1+ years supervising and training 5–10+ employees.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Flexible shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility with proper food safety procedures.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food prep.
• Assist Restaurant Manager with task execution, scheduling, cash integrity, and reporting.
• Prepare and package customer orders promptly to meet service expectations.
• Analyze profitability and assist in actioning changes to improve margins.
• Collaborate with Restaurant Manager on talent acquisition.
