Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking an Assistant General Manager for Plum Lounge to supervise restaurant operations and staff on a shift basis. You will support the overall F&B service, ensure compliance with standards, and assist in supervising other outlets as needed.

The role requires strong leadership, detailed scheduling, labor budgeting, and a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced casino environment.

Qualifications

• This knowledge and these abilities are typicallyacquiredthrough a High School Diploma, as well as four years’ dining experience, with a minimum of two years’ Food and Beverage supervisory experience; or through a bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes shift or work area at scheduled times; ensuringoutletis fully prepared for operation, as well as ensuring cleanliness and security of company assets.
• Maintains administrative functions, such as scheduling, time and attendance records, and appraisalsin order toensureappropriate staffinglevels and that team members are performing duties according to established service standards.
• Assistsin monitoring department budget to ensure efficient use of labor and other resourcesin order toachieve effective operation of the department.
• Monitors guest service and satisfaction by interviewing guests and byobservingfood ratingsin order tomake recommendations for improvement tomaintainhigh service standards and a positive dining experience for guests.
• Resolves guest concerns or complaintsin order tomaintainpositive guest relations.
• Inspects food outlet daily to ensure a safe work environment, that equipment isoperatingproperly and that sufficient supplies are on handin order toachieve smooth operation of the department.
• Attends andparticipatesin meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
