Job summary

Black Bear Diner in Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to serve as the right hand to the General Manager, overseeing planning, training and leadership to hit sales, costs and profitability targets. This role may lead a shift in GM's absence, ensuring fast, friendly guest service and high quality food prepared to standards.

You will hire and train staff, manage front and back of house operations, schedule labor, monitor inventory, and collaborate with the team to maintain safety, cleanliness

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• ServSafe certification and food service knowledge are desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership and basic math skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift and assist GM in planning, organizing and training.
• Hire, train and develop Team Members; ensure staffing levels.
• Oversee food prep, service quality and guest experience.
• Monitor costs, inventory and labor to meet financial goals.
• Ensure safety, sanitation and compliance with regulations.
