Job summary

Sun Valley Resort seeks a Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of the restaurant operation, ensuring a pleasurable dining experience for guests. The role requires training and supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and managing food and beverage service to high standards.

You will monitor labor, train personnel to Sun Valley standards, and collaborate with the dining room team and chef on duty to maintain smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years managerial/supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical restaurant service experience.
• Knowledge of daily financial aspects of restaurant management.
• Extended knowledge of and experience with restaurant and wine service.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Train and manage staff.
• Schedule staff according to reservations, hotel occupancy, and/or forecast skier visits.
• Track daily labor and maintain timekeeping using Kronos.
• Order products and supplies for FOH.
• Train staff with Sun Valley Resort Service Standards.
• Oversee all services in the restaurant and ensure guest needs are met professionally.
• Communicate with dining room staff and the chef on duty about menus, reservations, and supplies.
• Address concerns and resolve problems swiftly and professionally.
