Job summary

Sun Valley Resort in Idaho is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant and ensure a memorable dining experience for every guest. This hands-on leadership role helps oversee service standards, team performance, and overall guest satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on restaurant service and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage, with strong knowledge of wine services and daily sales reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on restaurant service experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in Food & Beverage.
• Strong knowledge of wine service and food pairings.
• Understanding of restaurant financials, including daily sales reporting and labor cost management.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise restaurant staff, ensuring adherence to Sun Valley Resort service standards.
• Create and manage employee schedules based on hotel occupancy and dining reservations.
• Assist in training new and existing team members in hospitality best practices and technical skills.
• Collaborate with kitchen leadership on menu updates, service pacing, and guest feedback.
• Provide outstanding front-of-house service, stepping in as needed to support servers and hosts.
• Maintain working knowledge of wine service and food pairings; assist guests with recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with team members and chefs regarding service timing, special requests, and guest needs.
• Ensure proper ordering and stocking of linens, supplies, and small wares.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and resolve any issues to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
