Malabar in the Van Ness neighborhood of Washington, DC, part of Rasika Knightsbridge Restaurant Group, seeks a qualified Restaurant Manager with a strong service background and wine expertise to lead daily beverage operations and staff training.

The RM will run the floor with enthusiasm, mentor service staff, close the restaurant, and ensure exceptional guest experiences, while maintaining an outstanding wine program and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience managing a restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of wine
• Strong service background
• Leadership and team management skills
• Reliability and timeliness required

Responsibilities

• The RM will spearhead, develop and maintain the entire Beverage program, managing wine selections and tastings.
• Create and manage the wine menu and oversee wine-related staff education and training.
• Handle wine inventory and collaborate on overall service flow on the floor.
