Job Summary

This position is to prepare the candidate for the Restaurant Manager role. After training, the Restaurant Manager Trainee (RMT) may manage the day-to-day operations of a designated Restaurant for up to 90 days. The RMT may have responsibility for people, operations, and financial metrics. This position reports to the Restaurant District Manager.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Provide excellent guest service; coach and correct team members
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard staff
• Maintain cleanliness and delegate duties
• Manage food production and ensure compliance with standards
• Train team members on brand and company standards
• Communicate effectively with management
• Handle administrative duties: paperwork, inventory, cash, schedules
• Ensure safety and report issues
• Complete incident reports
• Manage financial and operational metrics for profitability
• Conduct team check-ins and recognition
• Apply progressive discipline as needed

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license
• Serv Safe Manager certification preferred
• Open availability
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict management skills
• Positive attitude, sense of urgency, lead by example
• Ability to work in hot/cold environments, lift up to 50 lbs
