Restaurant Manager Trainee Job Summary

This position prepares the candidate for the Restaurant Manager role. After training, the Trainee may manage the daily operations of a designated restaurant for up to 90 days, overseeing people, operations, and financial metrics. The role reports directly to the Restaurant District Manager.

Expectations
  • Provides excellent guest service; coaches and corrects team members
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and completes onboarding for all positions
  • Maintains a clean environment and delegates responsibilities
  • Establishes build to’s and manages production systems
  • Ensures food is prepared and served per standards and regulations
  • Supervises and trains team members regularly
  • Communicates effectively with the district manager
  • Completes administrative duties, including paperwork, inventory, and scheduling
  • Ensures safety and reports issues promptly
  • Owns financial and operational metrics for profitability
  • Provides feedback and recognition to team members
  • Implements discipline when necessary
