Job summary

Bear Flag Fish Company in Newport Beach, CA seeks a hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, coach front- and back-of-house teams, and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced seafood environment.

You will partner with the General Manager on staffing, safety, and financial performance, while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and compliant health and safety practices across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant manager experience.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week, including weekends.
• Current food safety certification (or willing to obtain).
• Alcohol service certification.
• Computer skills - Gmail, Toast, R365.
• Knowledge of health and safety codes and sanitation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside current management to interview and train candidates for staffing needs.
• Lead by example with coaching and positive role modeling of service.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following sanitation standards and procedures.
• Daily communication with the GM to ensure tasks and issues are handled efficiently.
• Understand and help manage financial and operational performance to meet goals.
• Cultivate an environment of open, authentic and positive dialogue with staff and owners.
