Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting's hospitality client seeks a Restaurant Manager for a flagship Italian concept in Kansas City. You will lead a high-performing front-of-house team, own the P&L, and uphold brand standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will coach staff, manage costs, and drive profitability while working evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role offers significant growth opportunities within a rising hospitality group.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a senior restaurant leadership role (General Manager, AGM, or Director of Operations)
• Experience in restaurants generating $5M+ annual sales; $8M+ preferred
• Financial management including inventories, labor, food & beverage costs
• Proven ability to build, coach, and retain high-performing teams
• Deep understanding of upscale dining, beverage programs, and guest relations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with restaurant technology platforms and reporting systems
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a diverse front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Oversee financial performance, including cost controls and P&L management
• Implement and uphold brand standards, procedures, and service excellence
• Maintain a hands-on presence on the floor with guests and staff
• Drive improvements in operations, guest satisfaction, and profitability
• Ensure compliance with health codes, liquor laws, and corporate policies
