Job summary

IHOP is seeking a Restaurant Manager in Norfolk, VA to oversee front- and back-of-house operations with a strong emphasis on profitability and guest satisfaction. You will lead staff, manage guest relations, and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

You will recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate employees, handle scheduling, and maintain records. Availability for days, nights, and weekends is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to speak and read English and interpret documents; write routine reports.
• Basic computer skills including Email, MS Excel, MS Word are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service, and HR objectives per SOP and operations plan.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with employees and franchisee.
• Manage restaurant floor with guest contact; handle complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure recruitment, training, operations, food safety, sanitation, and security align with SOP.
• Carry out supervisory duties: hiring, training, directing workflow, evaluating performance, and resolving issues.
• Complete required reports and maintain personnel files; be available for days, nights, and weekends.
