Job summary

The IHOP Restaurant Manager reports directly to Ownership. The manager supervises IHOP restaurant employees and oversees front- and back-of-house operations with a strong focus on profitability and sales growth while upholding IHOP's standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities include achieving financial, marketing, guest service and HR objectives per SOP and operations plan. Key duties include recruiting and training staff, managing guest relations, ensuring safety and sanitation,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak and read English; interpret safety and operating instructions; write routine reports; and address groups.
• Basic computer skills including Email, MS Excel and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Execute financial, local marketing, guest service and HR objectives for the restaurant.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with hourly employees and the franchisee organization.
• Manage restaurant floor with regular guest contact.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure recruitment, training, food safety and SOP compliance.
• Perform supervisory duties including recruitment, training, directing workflow and performance reviews.
• Complete required reports and maintain personnel files.
• Availability to work days, nights and weekends.
