Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Now hiring a Front of House Manager at PJ Whelihan's Restaurant + Pub!

Our Front of House Restaurant Managers are instrumental in our day-to-day restaurant operations. In this role, you’ll support the General Manager in planning, organizing, and training to achieve restaurant objectives. You’ll oversee sales, labor and food costs, employee hiring and retention, guest service, food quality, and sanitation.

Each PJ Whelihan’s has a unique feel, but all are neighborhood establishments delivering great guest experiences. Inside, you'll find an impressive TV package for sports, a huge selection of beer on tap including PJW Copper Lager, and our famous wings.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure guests feel welcome with friendly, courteous service.
  • Support servers and host staff; validate service standards with guests.
  • Achieve sales, service, quality, cleanliness, and sanitation goals through staff training and positive environment.
  • Control cash and receipts following policies.
  • Assist in employment decisions with the General Manager.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure standards and efficiency.
  • Develop staff in service, food presentation, safety, and sanitation.
  • Prepare reports, schedules, and paperwork promptly.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Assist in marketing and promotional activities.
  • Administer corrective actions per policies.
  • Schedule staff to meet business needs and labor goals.
  • Comply with health, safety, and labor regulations.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • Ability to lead and make decisions using management guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze P&L statements and work within a budget.
  • Friendly, approachable, and effective communicator.
  • Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and execute quickly.
  • Manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Basic computer skills, including scheduling, attendance, and POS systems.
