Job Duties

• Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff
• Create staff schedules to ensure proper coverage
• Monitor stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering
• Manage budgets and control costs to minimize expenses
• Address customer needs, comments, and complaints
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Process payroll and maintain records
• Ensure staff operate within standard operating procedures
• Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel

Qualifications for Restaurant Manager

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Hospitality preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage service industry
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including management, food prep, purchasing, sanitation, and security
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Ability to manage costs within budgets
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks
