Crestline Hotels & Resorts has re-launched a Downtown Los Angeles Icon! The former 'Standard Hotel', now The NEW! Delphi Hotel, has re-opened with a fresh, independent concept including a stunning new lobby and re-imagined F&B concepts. The original legendary LA rooftop pool, restaurant, and bar experience will splash back onto the scene later this summer, fully renovated with a completely new vibe that will once again be the go-to spot in Downtown Los Angeles.

Job Title: Rooftop Restaurant Manager -(The Delphi Hotel - NEW! UCA Rooftop Restaurant & Bar)

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year. Must have the flexibility to work a changing schedule for hotel private events as needed. Available to work special events during evenings, weekends, overnights, and daytime hours. Primarily overnight shifts, with other shifts as needed. Looking for an experienced professional rooftop restaurant manager with experience working with all hotel guests, including VIP and high-profile guests/event groups. Must have supervisory experience, effective communication skills, and current F&B experience in a rooftop restaurant environment.

Overview

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the successful operation and administration of the restaurant department, including the bar/lounge. The role focuses on providing an exceptional food and beverage experience, maximizing profitability, and maintaining high standards of service. The Manager will lead, train, coach, motivate, and engage staff, serving as a liaison with other hotel departments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on menu planning and development with the food and beverage team.
  • Drive revenue through marketing, promotion, and upselling.
  • Manage the restaurant budget effectively.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
  • Oversee food and beverage deliveries, checking quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure food presentation and portion sizes meet standards.
  • Monitor budgets, payroll, and financial transactions.
  • Schedule staff and assign duties.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain records required by government agencies.
  • Set standards for personnel performance and customer service.
  • Estimate consumption and manage inventory accordingly.
  • Review procedures and operational issues to improve service and safety.
  • Perform service tasks when necessary.
  • Manage inventories and keep records.
  • Organize staff training, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
  • Order equipment and supplies.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and profitability.
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit staff.
  • Coordinate maintenance and service operations.
  • Monitor compliance with liquor regulations.
  • Greet guests and manage reservations.
  • Handle cash receipts and financial reconciliation.
  • Train staff in service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas.
  • Control inventories and report shortages.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant experience; hotel restaurant experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Experience with restaurant systems such as MICROS required.
