Din Tai Fung North America is seeking a Service Manager I to oversee the daily performance of the greeter and server teams, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to brand standards.

This role leads training, sets goals, monitors performance, and collaborates with FOH leadership to optimize service while supporting inventory, scheduling, and labor-cost management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years restaurant management experience in casual or upscale dining.
• 1+ years of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
• Comfortable with being exposed to hot and cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure greeters and servers deliver a consistent, welcoming guest experience while upholding brand standards.
• Train and coach staff for performance excellence and model company values.
• Set clear goals, monitor performance, deliver feedback, recognize contributions, and administer corrective actions.
• Partner with FOH leadership to maximize server-driven sales and manage labor costs; handle call-offs and shift coverage.
• Assist with FOH inventory (menus, server tools, POS supplies) and communicate needs proactively.

SALARY RANGE FOR SERVICE MANAGER I: $78,800-$114,200 annual base salary

The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Job Responsibilities

• Ensure greeters and servers deliver a consistent, welcoming guest experience. Maintain brand standards at the door and table, ensuring smooth transitions from arrival to seating to service.
• Train and coach servers and greeters for performance excellence. Model company values and standards in all interactions.
• Set clear goals for the greeter and server teams. Monitor performance, deliver feedback, recognize outstanding contributions, and administer corrective actions when necessary.
• Partner with other FOH leadership to maximize server-driven sales (e.g., upselling strategies) and manage labor costs. Manage call-outs and shift coverage while maintaining service excellence.
• Assist with FOH inventory (menus, server tools, POS supplies) and communicate needs proactively.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICE MANAGER I:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years restaurant management experience in casual or upscale casual dining.
• 1+ years of restaurant lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
• Comfortable with being exposed to hot and cold temperatures.
