Description

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for creating a fine dining experience that ensures a positive and memorable guest dining experience. This role oversees all day-to-day operations, including planning and executing all Forbes Five Star Standards, quality assurance, inventory management, forecasting business levels, and front-of-house responsibilities. The manager will collaborate closely with the Outlet Executive Chef to attract and retain top talent and foster a great work environment for all associates. This position is a key leadership role within the Food and Beverage Department’s management team.

Essential Functions
  • Direct, plan, supervise, and monitor daily operations to ensure flawless dinner shifts from an execution and guest experience perspective.
  • Work closely with the Outlet Executive Chef to attract, select, and train top talent, and create a positive, professional work atmosphere.
  • Assist with menu recommendations and collaborate with the sommelier on wine offerings.
  • Develop, coach, and engage staff to promote teamwork, satisfaction, and recognition.
Financial Management
  • Oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports on revenues and expenses.
  • Review daily financial reports and respond accordingly.
  • Manage salaries, wages, and operating expenses within the approved financial plan and budget.
Guest Satisfaction
  • Ensure and maintain Forbes Five Star standards.
  • Interact with guests, providing information about the resort and highlighting unique features.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Associate Engagement
  • Train and develop staff to ensure high performance and memorable guest experiences.
  • Manage, evaluate, and provide feedback to staff.
  • Create standard operating procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and safety.
  • Manage work schedules, ensure adequate staffing, and oversee service quality during dining periods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a Forbes 4 or 5-star restaurant preferred; exceptional guest relations skills required.
  • Strong wine knowledge preferred.
  • Proven leadership, communication, managerial, and financial skills.
  • Staff development and retention experience.
  • Outgoing, professional, collaborative demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent in English.
Additional Requirements
  • Communicate resort news and conduct daily team meetings.
  • Attend all mandatory department and resort meetings.
  • Lift/pull/push/carry approximately 10-30 pounds.
  • Stand continuously for 90-95% of the time.
