Cook Out Restaurants is seeking an experienced Restaurant Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. You will manage shake machines, refrigeration and HVAC systems, and be cross-trained on hot side kitchen equipment as we grow.

This role involves servicing multiple locations, using a company tablet to track requests, and collaborating with Service Area Managers, store leadership, and office staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant refrigeration experience.
• Must own tools/instruments for refrigeration work.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC & refrigeration systems: repair and service AC units, walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, shake machines, and reach-in units.
• Learn and perform hot side maintenance on kitchen equipment.
• Inspect facilities and perform self-identified repairs to keep stores in top condition.
• Use a company tablet to track requests and document completions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Service Area Managers, office staff, and store leadership.

What You’ll Do

• As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will serve multiple locations to ensure a safe, clean, and high-performing environment.
• HVAC & Refrigeration: Repair and maintain AC units, walk-in coolers/freezers, modular equipment, ice machines, shake machines, and reach-in units.
• Hot Side Maintenance: Learn to repair and maintain specialized kitchen cooking equipment.
• Facility Care: Regularly inspect grounds, buildings, and systems; perform self-identified repairs to keep our stores in top shape.
• Tech-Forward Tracking: Utilize a company tablet to manage requests and document completions in a timely manner.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Service Area Managers (S.A.M.), office staff, and store leadership.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with refrigeration (coolers and freezers).
• Technical Tools: Must possess your own tools/instruments required for refrigeration work.
• Availability: Must be able to work weekdays and every other weekend. Ability to be on-call when notified is required.
• Driving Record: Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years. No major violations or accidents within the last 3–5 years (minor violations evaluated case‑by‑case).
• Reliability: Reliable transportation to your home restaurant (where your work van is parked). Note: Van may be taken home when on call during weekends.
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Compliance: Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check (no criminal convictions within the past 10 years).
