Job summary

Cook Out Restaurants seeks a skilled Restaurant Maintenance Technician to service HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment across multiple locations. You’ll be part of a growing maintenance team that keeps the engine running and emphasizes reliability.

Role includes on-call requirements, driving a company van, and opportunities for overtime and sign-on bonuses. Daily meals and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with refrigeration (coolers and freezers).
• Technical Tools: Must possess your own tools/instruments required for refrigeration work.
• Availability: Weekdays and every other weekend; on-call required.
• Driving Record: Valid license 3+ years; no major violations in past 3–5 years.
• Reliability: Reliable transportation to home restaurant; work van may be taken home on weekends.
• Physical: Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Compliance: Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check (no major convictions in past 10 years).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain AC units, walk-in coolers/freezers, modular equipment, ice machines, shake machines, and reach-in units.
• Hot side maintenance: repair and maintain specialized kitchen cooking equipment.
• Regularly inspect grounds, buildings, and systems; perform self-identified repairs.
• Utilize a company tablet to manage requests and document completions.
• Collaborate with Service Area Managers, office staff, and store leadership.
