Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Essential Partner Trainee to lead and develop restaurant teams, driving service and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

You will recruit, interview and hire staff, schedule shifts, monitor compliance, and work to resolve guest needs while upholding SONIC standards. This role requires adaptability, strong communication and a focus on delivering great customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred) and experience running shifts without supervision.
• Willingness to work a minimum 5-day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4-day workweek) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices; knowledge of labor laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet standards.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing levels.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost control procedures.
• Maintains employment records and payroll records.
