Position Summary

A shift leader supports management in achieving restaurant goals by implementing, managing, and enforcing company policies and standards. The role involves hands-on leadership to ensure:

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to: General Manager or Manager on duty
• Internal contacts: All store personnel and home office departments
• External contacts: Guests, distributors

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Ensure menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly, following all standards and regulations.
• Assist or perform all functions necessary for all restaurant positions when required.
• Prepare each shift through planning, inspection, and communication to set up for success.
• Lead the shift by maintaining standards, motivating the team, and handling issues promptly.
• Evaluate shift results, communicate with management, and ensure readiness for the next shift.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Stand and walk extensively for up to 8 hours.
• Visual acuity for distance and close-up, peripheral vision, and ability to distinguish shapes.
• Clear communication skills.
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and chemicals.
• Ability to reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and carry trays.
• Work irregular hours under pressure during busy times.
