Job summary

The Hotel Monroe is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead daily front-of-house operations at its downtown Monroe restaurant and bar. You will train staff, elevate service quality, and own schedules and profitability while maintaining top guest experiences.

Hire, train, and rally a high-energy team, ensuring compliance with health standards and delivering memorable dining experiences that align with The Hotel Monroe’s standards and brand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive restaurant or food and beverage experience, including 3+ years in a management/supervisory role.
• Strong background in restaurant management with kitchen and bar operations experience.
• Proven ability to train and develop teams to improve performance.
• Knowledge of food management practices and culinary standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Seize full control of the restaurant and bar operations from opening to closing.
• Own staffing schedules and day-to-day game plan to place the right people at the right time.
• Monitor labor, costs, and operations to run a profitable guest-focused business.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in the restaurant environment.
• Lead, train, and motivate the team; build a strong culture and accountability.
• Collaborate with culinary to menu items that wow guests and drive revenue.
• Engage with hotel leadership to grow the restaurant business and guest satisfaction.
