Job summary

Sonny’s BBQ - Valrico is seeking experienced restaurant management professionals to join our team and build a long-lasting career. Training and initial management duties will take place in Bartow, FL until the Valrico location opens in 2027, with a path to lead operations at the new site.

As a manager you will hire, train, schedule and develop team members, ensure a safe and engaging atmosphere, and uphold service standards to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and read English and interpret documents; write routine reports and correspondence.
• At least two years restaurant management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training and developing, scheduling, and evaluating hourly team members.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and engaging atmosphere in the restaurant.
• Serve as the go-to resource for hourly team members and address needs and concerns daily.
• Set clear benchmarks and expectations for assistant managers and staff.
• Oversee performance through follow-up and communication; respond to store needs.
• Ensure guest experience remains exceptional and memorable.
• Execute store policies and programs and report progress to Area Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Able to work a 50-hour week with potential extra hours during peak seasons.
