Job summary

Denny's Espanola, NM is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to supervise and develop restaurant operations across all hours. You will oversee staff, ensure safety and sanitation, maintain quality service, and drive profitability in partnership with regional strategies.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage change while maintaining a guest‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops plans supportive of company and regional strategies to achieve business growth (sales and profit) and customer satisfaction.
• Directs the work of all restaurant employees & management; supervision, advancement, discipline, termination or any status change.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards & procedures for health inspections, steritech visits and brand standards.
• Plans and analyzes unit’s manpower, ensuring development and training of all employees.
• Manages restaurant operations and administration.
• Ensures proper menu preparation, portioning and presentation in a clean, safe environment.
• Maintains customer satisfaction through service and a pleasant environment; makes changes as needed.
• Directs operational execution to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Participates in recruitment and selection of restaurant management; responsible for service team staffing.
• Maintains inventory levels and uses correct ordering procedures and yield applications.
• Analyzes financial reports and implements improvement plans.
• Communicates system breakdowns and deficiencies to appropriate personnel.
• Manages payroll hours, cash, productivity, food costs, and operating expenses.
• Ensures safety and sanitation requirements are met.
• Represents brand values and maintains positive work environment.
• Communicates with DM and Regional Work Teams about needs and program relevance.
