Jimmy John's is seeking a General Manager to oversee all restaurant functions, ensuring fast, accurate sandwich execution, world-class customer service, and high-quality products. The role includes managing a staff, handling hiring and training, and maintaining inventory and cash controls to drive profitability.

The candidate will supervise food preparation and service, forecast per-shift item usage, and route deliveries to maximize speed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
• Strong math abilities to handle counts, percentages and orders.

Responsibilities

• Manages a staff of Assistant Managers and employees; assigns, oversees and evaluates work.
• Handles hiring, training, evaluating, discipline and termination of employees.
• Provides on-the-job training for new employees.
• Delegates and is responsible for ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning and paper supplies to minimize loss from waste or theft.
• Assists in supervision, preparation, sales and service of food.
• Forecasts food items by estimating consumption per shift.
• Supervises food preparation and service during duty periods; assists shoppers during rush periods.
• Greets customers, takes orders, operates the cash register, assembles orders and checks for completeness.
• Ensures customers receive world class customer service.
• Routes deliveries and supervises drivers to maximize delivery speed.
• Completes daily food preparations; opening procedures, meat and vegetables slicing, bread production.
• Executes systems and procedures with integrity and completeness.
• Completes daily, weekly and period paperwork with accuracy.
• Controls inventory with weekly inventory system and maintains ordering schedules.
• Conducts Weekly Manager meetings and audits procedures and shift ending paperwork.
• Performs preventative maintenance and upkeep on equipment and supplies.
• Responsible for cash drawers during shifts and manages deposits per procedures.
