Job summary

SONIC Drive-In seeks a General Manager to lead a busy California drive-in, training crew, managing daily operations and ensuring safe, fast, friendly service for every guest.

You will open and close shifts, prepare staff schedules, oversee inventory and payroll records, monitor performance, and develop action plans to improve sales while upholding brand standards and exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), experience supervising shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day workweek with alternating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation regulations.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops to meet service standards.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing levels as needed.
• Monitors and maintains inventory levels; places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains payroll records and employment-related documentation.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
• Ensures clean, safe, efficient drive-in operation and excellent guest experience.
• Develops action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and/or sales trends.
