Job description

Job Title: Restaurant General Manager

Salary: $82,000 / year + bonus potential

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining guest service standards. This role involves managing all aspects of full service and/or quick service operations within the airport, including staff training and retention, delivering excellent hospitality, controlling food and labor costs, sharing P&L responsibilities, managing shifts, ensuring sanitation, safety, and cleanliness, all while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining high standards, solid product knowledge, and other components of guest service across one or multiple restaurant formats, including fast food and full service.
  • Handle guest complaints and comments, using feedback to make improvements.
  • Plan and assign daily goals, tasks, and responsibilities; instruct direct reports such as supervisors and assistant managers.
  • Lead management team and staff in new product launches and promotional activities, guiding implementation and providing training.
  • Manage financials, personnel, facilities, marketing, food quality, and overall business operations effectively.
  • Communicate company policies clearly and timely to staff through written and oral means.
  • Monitor sales performance through reports and market analysis, ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Work effectively under pressure, exercising sound judgment in high-stress situations.
  • Train and hold management and staff accountable for systems, tools, and processes that promote guest loyalty and profitability.
  • Identify operational issues, develop solutions, and measure outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health and sanitation standards.
  • Accurately record charges, refunds, and inventory damages; verify and post business transactions.
