Job description

Join to apply for the Restaurant General Manager role at GPS Hospitality.

We are seeking experienced Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) to lead our restaurant teams. The RGM oversees daily operations, ensuring adherence to GPS Hospitality standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. They work collaboratively with a management team and are incentivized through performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve Sales and Profit Goals: Meet or exceed sales and profit budgets each period.
  2. Operational Execution: Manage projections, schedules, and work shifts effectively.
  3. Maintain Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure the restaurant complies with safety and cleanliness standards.
  4. Team Development: Hire, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent service.
  5. Financial Controls: Implement and monitor cash and inventory controls.
Additional Duties:
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Lead hiring, training, and coaching efforts.
  • Utilize GPS Hospitality systems for efficient restaurant management.
  • Develop community relations through engagement with local organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and late nights.
  • Train and develop assistant managers and trainees.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of managerial experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
  • At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
