About the Job:

As the Restaurant General Manager, you'll lead a dynamic team, handpicking and training the best crew to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll oversee recruitment and training, guiding your team towards promotions and empowering them to build successful careers. By cultivating top performers, you'll create a vibrant, optimistic, and rewarding culture. Your success will be reflected in your team's achievements. RGMs work a 50-hour week, with 40 hours at regular pay and 10 hours at time and a half, providing a balanced work experience.

The Day-to-Day:
  1. Recruit, onboard, and conduct orientations for top Team Members and Shift Leads.
  2. Develop and oversee training plans for Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Member Trainers.
  3. Recognize and reward outstanding performance, fostering a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  4. Address and resolve conflicts promptly to maintain a positive environment.
  5. Engage with customers to resolve issues and ensure positive experiences.
  6. Schedule staff strategically, coach on CHAMPS standards, and lead product rollout meetings.
  7. Analyze financial performance, manage budgets, and develop strategies to maximize profitability.
  8. Stay informed about competitors and aim to exceed standards in all aspects, including digital presence and loyalty programs.
Is this you?
  • 5+ years in restaurant or retail management with strong people management skills.
  • Proven ability to improve performance through P&L analysis.
  • Proficient with digital tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Understanding of restaurant maintenance programs.
  • Alignment with Taco Bell's culture and values, emphasizing Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
  • Experience in motivating teams and people development.
  • Skilled in recruiting and training employees at all performance levels.
  • Adaptable to change and experienced in change management.
  • Adheres to corporate policies, Occupational Health, and Food Safety standards.
