General Manager – Luxury Restaurant, Hospitality & Nightlife

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 Base Salary + Performance-Based Bonus
Position Overview
A premier luxury hospitality and entertainment venue in Naples, Florida is seeking an exceptional General Manager to oversee the operation of a sophisticated, high-energy concept that combines elevated dining, premium nightlife, live entertainment, cabaret-style performances, DJs, VIP experiences, and high-end hospitality.
This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for the overall operational performance of the venue and the quality of the guest experience.
This individual will work closely with ownership and senior department leaders, including the Entertainment Director, Executive Chef, Bar Manager, and other members of the leadership team, to ensure the venue consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience while achieving its operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
General Operations & Leadership
- Oversee the complete day-to-day operation of the venue.
- Serve as the primary operational leader and establish a culture of excellence, accountability, professionalism, and hospitality.
- Work closely with ownership to execute the overall vision, strategy, and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain operating standards, policies, and procedures across all departments.
- Maintain a strong management presence on the floor during dinner service, entertainment programming, weekends, and peak nightlife hours.
- Ensure seamless coordination between dining, nightlife, entertainment, VIP service, bar operations, and guest relations.
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions quickly.
Luxury Guest Experience
- Establish and maintain world-class customer service standards.
- Personally oversee the guest experience, particularly VIPs, high-value clientele, celebrities, influencers, and special-event guests.
- Build strong relationships with repeat guests and key clientele.
- Ensure every aspect of the guest journey, from arrival and seating through dinner, entertainment, VIP service, and departure, is executed at the highest level.
- Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Create a culture where exceptional hospitality is expected at every level of the organization.
Front-of-House & Nightlife Operations
- Oversee all front-of-house operations, including hosts, servers, bartenders, cocktail servers, VIP/table service, guest relations, and floor management.
- Ensure smooth transitions between dinner service, cabaret/entertainment programming, and late-night operations.
- Monitor reservations, seating, table service, VIP sections, bottle service, service timing, and overall floor flow.
- Partner with the Bar Manager to maintain exceptional beverage service, inventory control, staffing, and profitability.
- Ensure staffing levels are appropriate for business volume, entertainment schedules, special events, and projected revenue.
- Maintain high standards for employee appearance, professionalism, service, and conduct.
Entertainment & Events
- Work closely with the Entertainment Director to integrate entertainment programming seamlessly into the overall guest experience.
- Coordinate operational requirements for DJs, live performers, cabaret acts, special appearances, and events.
- Ensure entertainment programming complements the dining and nightlife experience.
- Participate in pre-event and post-event meetings to ensure operational readiness and continuous improvement.
- Help develop and execute special events, VIP experiences, and revenue-generating programming.
Culinary & Bar Operations
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure outstanding food quality, presentation, timing, and service.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership on staffing, menu execution, cost control, guest feedback, and service standards.
- Partner with the Bar Manager on beverage quality, inventory, purchasing, staffing, service standards, and profitability.
- Ensure strong communication and coordination between the kitchen, bar, front of house, and entertainment teams.
Financial & Business Management
- Take ownership of the venue's overall operational and financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, labor costs, food and beverage costs, inventory, payroll, and operating expenses.
- Develop strategies to increase revenue, guest spending, VIP sales, table sales, and overall profitability.
- Analyze business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with ownership on budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and performance objectives.
- Maintain strong controls around cash handling, inventory, purchasing, labor, and expenses.
Team Building & Development
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing hospitality team.
- Build a culture centered around service excellence, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Establish clear expectations and performance standards for management and staff.
- Conduct regular management meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Develop internal talent and identify future leaders.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels for normal operations, weekends, special events, and high-volume periods.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain high standards for responsible alcohol service, workplace safety, employee conduct, and guest safety.
- Work closely with security and management teams to maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Ensure all operational policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive hospitality management experience, including significant experience in a General Manager or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing luxury restaurants, supper clubs, nightclubs, cabaret lounges, upscale bars, hotels, or entertainment venues.
- Exceptional front-of-house operational expertise.
- Demonstrated success delivering a high-end customer experience.
- Strong understanding of VIP and high-value guest service.
- Experience managing high-volume operations involving food, beverage, nightlife, and entertainment.
- Strong knowledge of labor management, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop large hospitality teams.
- Experience with VIP/table service and bottle service strongly preferred.
- Experience working with DJs, live entertainment, performers, and special events strongly preferred.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including the ability to understand and manage a P&L.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with ownership, senior leadership, chefs, entertainment executives, and department heads.
- Polished, professional presence appropriate for a luxury hospitality environment.
- Highly hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to be present during peak operating hours.
