Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a General Manager for a respected restaurant group in Lexington, KY. You will lead daily operations, deliver outstanding guest service, and drive profitability while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years GM experience in restaurants, a high school diploma or GED, a Food Safety certification, and strong communication and leadership skills. Local community engagement and staff development are key.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a GM in the restaurant industry.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to build relationships with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster guest loyalty.
• Be the restaurant personality, engaging with regulars and participating in community activities.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding menu offerings and streamline service.
• Lead, motivate, and develop staff through hiring, training and ongoing coaching.
• Manage scheduling, labor forecasting and budget adherence to drive profitability.
• Implement and uphold all food safety, handling and sanitation requirements, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Execute company marketing programs and local initiatives to drive sales and grow the restaurant's reputation.
