About Ralph’s American Grill

Ralph’s American Grill is seeking an experienced Food Expeditor to join our team! We are looking for a competent Food Expeditor to help maintain a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables. You will work in a fast-paced environment to ensure orders are delivered efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient flow of orders from waitstaff to the kitchen.
• Prioritize orders for preparation.
• Assist in final dish preparation.
• Check dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before delivery.
• Deliver orders promptly to ensure fast service.
• Remove obstacles in service, food prep lines, or dishwashing areas.
• Inspect the premises for quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.
• Transfer important information between the kitchen and waitstaff (e.g., special requests).
• Handle customer complaints to preserve the restaurant’s reputation.
• Support additional tasks as needed, such as handling telephone orders.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a food expeditor or similar role in a full-service restaurant.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations and health and safety rules.
• Dexterity with kitchen equipment and ability to carry heavy trays.
• Well-organized with leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.
