Job Description

The Restaurant Manager assists the Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) in the day-to-day operations of Eataly’s full-service restaurants. The role reports to the Restaurant AGM and oversees front-of-house staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the Restaurant AGM with hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating employees.
2. Document, investigate, escalate, and resolve employee and guest incidents.
3. Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service standards and effective activity execution.
4. Inspect dining and storage areas for health and safety compliance.
5. Estimate food and beverage needs, supervise order intake to meet specifications.
6. Review financial data such as sales, inventory, and costs to monitor the budget.
7. Collaborate with dining room and bar staff to plan activities and events.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience managing or leading a front-of-house restaurant team.
• Strong understanding of steps of service.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverages is highly preferred.

Compensation:

Salary ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 annually.

Job Requirements:

• Availability to work onsite with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to 8 hours.
• Food Handler’s License is preferred.
