Job summary

Culver's is seeking a Porter to provide timely maintenance of the restaurant interior and exterior. You will ensure sanitation, safety, and operation readiness, supporting opening teams and handling daily tasks. The role includes handling deliveries, inventory rotation, and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The position requires physical stamina for a fast-paced environment and the ability to work outdoors and indoors, 50/50, with adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Flexibility in schedule is required, including varying shifts.
• Reading and writing skills are required for documentation.
• Communicates with guests, team and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintains a sense of urgency in completing tasks.
• Demonstrates trained food safety knowledge and practices.
• Able to climb ladder up to 25 feet and perform maintenance tasks.
• Able to sweep, mop, scrub with hazardous materials and clean safely.
• Work independently without supervision with minimal guidance.
• Able to reach, bend and clean surfaces regularly.
• Work frequently in hot, cold and damp environments; outdoor and indoor work about 50/50.
• Practice safety to avoid hazards (cuts, slips, trips, falls, burns).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sanitation and food safety practices consistently.
• Checks restaurant from previous close to ensure a safe, secure environment.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks timely and accurately.
• Maintains exterior and grounds, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Rotates stock and stores food using FIFO; monitors shelf life and code dates.
• Takes temperatures of foods on delivery and documents checklist.
• Performs routine maintenance on restaurant equipment.
• Supports opening team for lunch shift readiness.
