Job description

30 hours per week with full benefits package.

Come to work in our upscale restaurant overlooking beautiful Tampa Bay.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
  1. Setup work stations according to established guidelines.
  2. Prepare all food items in accordance with standardized recipes in a sanitary and timely manner.
  3. Distribute prepared food to all areas of service accurately and consistent in preparation and presentation. Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
  4. Clean and maintain station by practicing good safety, sanitation and organization skills.
  5. Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen and equipment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
  2. Florida SafeStaff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.

Skills:

  1. Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
  2. Ability to perform basic math skills.

Experience:

  1. 3 or more years culinary experience in a high volume full service dining environment.
  2. Full understanding of basic food preparation methods and cooking techniques in quantity food production.
  3. Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office and data type programs.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
  2. Ability to perform basic math skills.
  3. Basic knife handling skills.
  4. Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida.
  5. Willingness to provide a leadership role if needed.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  2. Sitting, Lifting (up to 50 lbs), Bending, Walking
  3. Hearing, Speaking, Seeing, Manual Dexterity
  4. Tasting, Smelling

AN INDIVIDUAL IN THIS POSITION MAY BE EXPOSED TO:

  1. Inside/Outside environmental conditions.
  2. Blood borne Pathogens
  3. Respiratory Pathogens
