Job summary

Four Seasons Houston is seeking a Restaurant Cook to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner per guest orders, maintaining quality and safety standards. The role requires mise en place, proper station setup, and adherence to recipes and portion guidelines.

You will operate and clean a range of kitchen equipment, rotate perishables, monitor stock, and assist with prep for the next shift. This is a full-time position with shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Three years of culinary experience required.
• Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items per guest orders following recipes, production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mis en place and setup station for service.
• Start food items prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to prepare beyond estimated needs.
• Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment (deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, kettle, waffle iron, flat top).
• Date and rotate food containers; check pars; note shortages; store perishables properly; assist in correcting food cost issues and reducing waste.
• Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments for next shift.
