JOB SUMMARY

The Restaurant Cook oversees the day-to-day operation of the grill and food prep in the restaurant. This role is responsible for proper food preparation, handling, and storage. The individual will provide excellent customer service and be a strong teammate to our franchise partner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform.
2. Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: “Good Morning or Welcome to Huddle House.”
3. Prepare food in a timely manner once the order is placed.
4. Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
5. Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints.
6. Know the menu, the daily features when applicable, and ensure they are cooked and presented correctly.
7. Follow the Huddle House steps of service with each guest to maximize shift sales.
8. Practice all safety, food handling, cash security, and restaurant policies.
9. Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor.
10. Control food costs by managing waste and portion control.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Effective communication skills with all restaurant staff.
2. Previous restaurant experience preferred.
3. A “can do” attitude and willingness to work during your shift.
