Job summary

Cooper Aerobics in Dallas, TX is seeking a Part-Time Cook to be a friendly, customer-facing member of our restaurant team. You will fulfill orders and ensure a great guest experience from start to finish.

This role requires basic food handling, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. Flexible shifts Monday through Friday with weekend coverage as needed. We offer competitive pay and employee perks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food handling certification must be completed within first month.
  • Casual restaurant experience preferred but not required.
  • One month related experience or training.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and cooks menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Ensures all food is cooked and served at the proper temperature and quality.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and proper storage of ingredients.
  • Monitors inventory levels and communicates shortages or supply needs to management.
  • Performs opening and closing routine maintenance duties that prepare the restaurant to be a welcoming environment for every guest.
  • Follows required food handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Adheres to dress code requirement of hat and gloves being worn on duty.
  • Complies with HIPAA while performing all duties.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and adheres to the Cooper purpose and core values.
  • Follows all Cooper policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Completes duties on site with consistent, regular, and reliable attendance.
  • Accomplishes other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Cook is a customer facing support person in our restaurant. The Cook is responsible for fulfilling orders while ensuring a great experience for the guest from start to finish. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Schedule: Part-Time (17-29 hours/week), Various Shifts, Monday - Friday

Restaurant Cashier Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Ability to operate available equipment, such as register, calculator or scanner.
  • Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change.
  • Ability to work in group setting as well as work independently.
  • Knowledgeable about company’s products and services.
Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food handling certification (must be completed within first month of employment).
  • Casual restaurant experience preferred but not required.
  • One month related experience or training.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
