Job summary

Workstream in Rio Verde, Arizona is seeking a Busser to help maintain a clean, welcoming dining area. You will remove used dishes, reset tables, refill beverages, and support servers during service to ensure smooth operations.

Prior restaurant experience is helpful; the role is part-time with potential for additional shifts during peak periods, offering a friendly team environment and opportunities to observe front-of-house operations.

Responsibilities

• Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after diners are done eating
• Wiping up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables
• Straightening out the tablecloth or replacing stained ones
• Replacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new diners
• Refilling paper napkins, salt and pepper shakers and any other depleted condiments on the dining table
• Refilling drinking glasses with water
• Bringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busy
• Handling cleaning of the dining area at the close of day
• Ensures that each menu item is prepared in the exact detail outlined on each ticket
• Corrects the menu item with the chef before delivering the menu item if it is not meeting the exact specification on the ticket
• Fills and re-fills water glasses and removes any place settings not being used
• Clears dishes located in front of guest upon completion of course
• Clears and resets tables when guests leave, to include but not limited to: changes tablecloth, brushes chairs, places chairs at table, replaces silverware and glassware, and replaces napkins
• Assists the server when needed
• Keeps workstations well stocked of items and ingredients
• Clean workstations, takes out trash, and vacuums the dining room
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as required
