Responsibilities

Job description

Our busy restaurant is looking for a bartender with a positive attitude who can provide excellent customer service for our patrons to have a great time at our bar. You will be in charge of taking customer orders, mixing a variety of traditional and creative cocktails, making beer and wine recommendations, and keeping the bar area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a customer-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Verify customers’ identification age to ensure they are of legal age and provide alcoholic drinks in compliance with federal, state, municipal, and corporate rules and regulations
• Receive payments and settle patron checks and tabs, as well as correctly record daily sales totals in the point-of-sale system
• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
• Order necessary bar supplies, stock and keep track of all wine, liquor, and beer inventories as well as maintain a full supply of glassware and notify management of any shortages
• Mix and deliver drinks to customers, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks
• When business deems necessary, bartenders are responsible for serving dining room tables, bar tables, and outdoor front sidewalk tables
• Taking orders, making drinks, clearing dishes, and sanitizing tables.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
