Job summary

Legends Global at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack is seeking Restaurant & Banquet Servers for the 2026 San Diego County Fair season. This seasonal/temporary role requires two years of service experience and a Food Handlers certification, plus RBS.

Training and orientation are provided by management. Position involves fast-paced service, handling food and beverages, operating touch screen POS systems (Toast a plus), and standing/walking for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Two years of food or cocktail service experience.
• Must have Food Handlers certification.
• Servers must be 18+ to serve alcohol.
• Ability to attend orientation and training shifts as directed by management.

Summary

Legends Global at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack is looking for Restaurant and Banquet Servers. This is a seasonal/temporary position for the 2026 San Diego County Fair, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Summer Live Meet. Servers must have 2 years of service experience and have their Food Handlers certification and RBS #. Must be able to attend orientation and training shifts as directed by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for providing timely food and beverage service

• Work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

• General knowledge of food and alcohol is required

• Proficiency with touch screen POS systems (Toast experience a plus)

• Perform other restaurant duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to carry a service tray set with up to eight full plates.

• Position requires standing, walking and lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Must have the ability to work late hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Must be RBS certified by the start of employment. Servers must be a minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcohol.

Compensation

This position’s compensation is $16.90 per hour, not including tips.
