POSITION: Busser / Service Assistant

Department: Catering

Reports to: Restaurant Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Legends Global at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack – 2026 Summer Fair and Live Meet Horseracing season, June 10th through September 6th

Job Summary

We are seeking Bussers and Food Runners/Assistants to assist the Restaurant team during the 2026 Fair. Candidates must attend orientation and training shifts as assigned and support servers, kitchen staff, and guests throughout the event.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing procedures
• Create and maintain a good working relationship with servers and guests
• Check on customer satisfaction and refer information to servers, hostess or manager
• Meet and greet guests when necessary
• Clear food and beverages with the ability to carry multiple plates at a time
• Re-set dining room tables for meals with linens, silverware, and glassware when necessary
• Restock beverages, utensils or condiments
• Fill all salt, pepper, sugar, condiments, and napkin containers
• Fold clean tablecloths and napkins and keep tables clean and organized
• Provide basic service of water, bread, butter and condiments to assist servers
• Clean and clear spills in public areas

Physical Demands

Regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building as needed by events.

Compensation

$16.90 per hour, not including tips.
