Job summary

Penn Station Shadyside is seeking a motivated assistant manager to join our team and help run a high-volume restaurant. You will direct the workflow of team members, interact with customers, and ensure delicious food and outstanding service.

The successful AM will oversee a team, handle daily operations, and uphold our standards. You will train staff, implement policies with the GM, maintain energy and a sense of urgency, and promote quality control and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in retail/restaurants.
• Reliability and strong communication skills are essential.
• High awareness and attention to detail with solid leadership and organizational abilities.
• Ability to solve problems confidently and train/lead a team.

Penn Station Shadyside is looking for a motivated assistant manager to join our team! We understand that people don’t aspire to work their way up the ladder in the restaurant industry only to get stuck. The goal is to run your own store! Many of the General Managers in our company are promoted from the Assistant Manager position.

The ideal candidate will be flexible in handling daily operations and diligent in upholding our standards. This person will direct the workflow of team members, while also interacting with customers and preparing delicious food!

A successful AM must be able to oversee a team of people and facilitate a smooth workflow. They exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and display sound judgement in resolving issues. They show an aptitude toward preventing mistakes through high awareness. They will help set the pace for the crew by maintaining high energy, positivity, and a sense of urgency.

Top assistant managers will be passionate about quality control and sustained customer satisfaction - delicious food, outstanding service, every time - achieved by working closely with the GM on effective employee training and implementation of company policies.
